How do we find what’s good for the soul? You know that saying, “stop and smell the roses?” For me, when in doubt, always stop and smell the ocean air. I know without a doubt God planted me in Florida for a reason. The water, the Gulf of Mexico, the beach, it is so soothing to my soul. It is my happy place.
I know this because just seeing the water brings a sense of calm for me. Hearing the waves and smelling the salt air leave me refreshed. It doesn’t have to be roses. What is good for your soul? What provides you with a gentle reminder to push the pause button? Is there something that calms you? It could be music? Writing? Reading? Is it the beach? The mountains? The river?
Regardless of what it is that soothes your soul, some days you must be intentional about not only finding it, but also actually implementing it into your life. Doing more of what lights up your soul in the beginning of the week will set the tone for the rest of the week. For more on how to get your week off to a great start, check out THIS post.
So, discover IT, find what is good for your soul, and create frequent moments in life to PAUSE and soak it up.
xo, Christy
