4 Benefits of Adding CBD into Your Self Care Routine

Experience CBD in your self care routine and feel better and live better every day. I advocate often for self care. In order to take care of others, you must first take care of yourself. Which aligns with my belief that self care is not selfish. One of the simpliest ways to show yourself some love comes through the benefits of quality CBD in your daily self care routine.

4 benefits to adding CBD to your self care with a bottle of CBD oil

CBD appears in many forms and derives from many sources. But did you know the U.S. CBD industry is completely unregulated? What does that mean? It means the CBD industry is like the wild, wild west. You never know what you’re gonna get. In order to ensure proper self care with CBD, it is critical you know the exact source/farm for your CBD and further that you know exactly what ingredients your CBD contains. Because putting poor ingredients into your body will not create the results you desire. So, before you put any CBD into your body, here’s a post that might help you with your research to ensure it’s safe and effective.

In the meantime, here’s 4 ways to add CBD to your self care routine.

Include CBD in Your Daily Supplments

If you don’t have a daily supplement routine, you should. Even something as simple as starting your day with lemon water benefits your health and wellness. Lemon water hydrates, adds vitamin C to your diet and promotes healthy weight.

Studies show CBD results in the highest benefits when used daily. In our house, we add it to our daily vitamin intake to ensure consistency. The kids use USDA certified organic CBD jellies and my husband and I use a USDA certified organic CBD tincture or oil, we drop under our tongue. If you’ve never used a CBD tincture, or oil, here’s a short video demonstrating how to take CBD oil. It’s pretty simple once you see it.

Adding CBD as a daily supplement in your self care routine promotes stronger overall health and homeostasis (balance) in your body. CBD has helped our family and friends with overall energy, mood, stress, anxiety, depression, joint pain, muscle pain, headaches, insomnia and more.

Set Aside Time for a CBD Bath

Believe me, this is a tough one for me! I find it difficult to simply set aside the time for myself, much less throw in a self care activity. But I’ve learned to put in the extra effort to take care of me. If you are fortunate enough to enjoy relaxing baths, adding CBD to that bath routine will increase your relaxation and the long term chill factor. It also enhances your overall wellbeing as the CBD will absorb into your body through the bath. My favorite CBD bath bombs are these lavender and chamomile bath bombs that include epsom salts and 35mg of USDA certified organic CBD.

Carry CBD Essential Oil Topicals

While tincture users will tell you taking CBD sublingually (under your tongue) is the quickest and most effective method, first-timers may feel more comfortable using topicals to start. Essential oil topicals provide an easy introduction to CBD. If you hesitate to jump on the CBD bandwagon, essential oil roll ons are a great option for you to try it out. Topical CBD ensures your body absorbs less of the cannabanoid into the bloodstream and is abosrbed more slowly than a tincture.

CBD roll ons also provide a fantastic way to boost the results of your CBD tincture. Topicals, or roll ons, provide a way to target a specific area on your body. Take back pain for example, using your CBD tincture sublingually will help relieve that pain, but additionally applying a roll on targeted to the exact spot of the pain may provide a quick, short term remedy. It also may help prolong the effects of the CBD tincture.

CBD essential oil roll ons address a number of concerns. Try one to relieve muscle pain, headaches, anxiety, menstrual symptoms, or increase focus. The essential oil elements add a wonderful aroma to the effect of the CBD. I sometimes use this CBD Shine Essential Roll On as my casual daily scent simply because I love the clean, citrus and vanilla aroma and as a bonus I get to enjoy the benefit of this proprietary blend of Hemp Flower Extract and USDA Certified Organic essential oils to uplift and energize me throughout my day. Win-win. Plus, the roll ons are small enough to carry around so they are on hand at any given moment.

Include CBD in Your Bedtime Routine

You’ve no doubt read about the benefits of CBD on your sleep routine. My husband and I both use CBD in our bedtime routine. It not only helps us fall asleep faster, it increases the quality of sleep as well. Something about the CBD just helps my mind to stop wandering when my head hits the pillow. It helps shut down my thoughts for the night, so no more thinking about the never-ending to-do list, the craziness of the world, how to juggle the kids’ activity schedule or anything else. On those nights when my mind is extra anxious, I add a sleep boost to my CBD bedtime routine that includes lavender, chamomile and vanilla essential oils.

Lack of sleep contributes to poor self care. Not getting enough sleep, or not getting quality sleep, leaves you drained, anxious and, well, exhausted. After a night with CBD sleep, wake up ready to conquer your day. I’m not saying I don’t still enjoy my cup of coffee, but I do wake up feeling refreshed and rested.

I’d love to hear how you feel after you try adding CBD into your selfcare routine. There’s no magic pill or remedy that immediately solves our problems, but I’ve found CBD naturally takes the edge off, calms me, provides me with patience and overall helps me feel better and live better. Enjoy these 4 benefits of CBD by adding them into your self care routine.

XO, Christy
